• I am trying to load a theme I downloaded from the WordPress Commercially Supported GPL Themes. It is the “Paper” theme from Storefront.

I downloaded the .zip files to my computer, but being very much a Noob – I don’t know what to do from here. How do I install these files so that my website reflects the new theme I selected?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

  • You have two routes you can go from here –

1). Login into your WordPress Dashboard, Go to Appearance > Themes > Add New. Upload the zip folder then click on activate.

2). You can connect your site via FTP then upload the unzipped folder in WP-Content > Themes

    goto:
    dashboard – appearance – themes – install themes – upload – browse

you should also be able to install any theme from https://wordpress.org/themes/ directly via
dashboard – appearance – themes – install themes – search without downloading it first.

Thanks, I tried installing a FTP and didn’t have any luck, I’ll try these alternate routes.

Thanks again. I’ll update after trying.
