   I'd like my homepage to have a single post on it, with previous and next links that load the prev/next post in its spot without reloading the page.

   I found this tutorial, but it doesn't seem to work for me: http://wpcanyon.com/tipsandtricks/the-easy-way-to-make-wordpress-ajax-pagination-using-jquery/

   Has anyone go this to work or have any tips?

   One of the Superslider plugins may do what you want.

   Thanks for the link, but I'm trying to simplify this and do it without a plugin.
