• I was telling a friend of mine that I was having PHP issues with my WP install because of my install.

I told him that there are admin plugins I use, but I don’t need active all of the time, and how it would be great to be able to load and unload them as a group, rather than individually.

He suggested that I bring it up to the WP community, so here I am.

You mean activate and deactivate in groups?

The plugins section has checkboxes so you can turn them on and off en masse.

Yes, but to be able to set up a group of plugins that are for a specific purpose.

Example: My admin group, may have 6 plugins, while you may have 10 deactivated. You just want the 6, not the 10. And you don’t want to manually select each one.

    It was just a thought.

Hm. Yeah, I see that, though I’m not sure how you’d control it effectively. First blush feels like it would add more overhead than it’s worth since you can manually pick/chose. And if you’re adding a high number of plugins, you generally DON’T want to turn ’em all on at once.
