So, I did import a blog from livejournal to my standalone wp approximately two years ago.
I am not sure what did I use for it, but I think it was the stock wordpress feature, not a plugin.
After that I was using lj-xp in order to crosspost texts to livejournal and forced comments to be in my standalone blog.

Recently I did try to bring old comments from lj to my wp and close lj at all.

I’ve tried to use lj-comments-import and lj-comments-import-reloaded for that, however it seem not to work even after extensive hacking.
Not that I know web programming, but I can do some things.

I think, may it is not supposed to bring lj only comments, because it depends on lj-xp, so probably it uses mapping info (which wp post corresponds to which lj post) from lj-xp, and there should not present info about imported posts.

    Now the question.
    0. Is there a smart way to bring only comments from lj to my old posts, without dublicating my already imported posts.
    1. Where can I find examples of how to “manually” work with wp database(mine is mysql), in order to add there comments, and nested comments, so I can may be try to write something to get only comments from lj, compare the post time and subject and merge the comments to the wp database.
Any other hint will be appreciated.
