• All these days I been using Windows Live writer without any problem. But today when I published my article through live writer, the output in the site is full of HTML codes of the fonts and font sizes.

    I wonder why? Can anyone throw light on it. Help me.

    I’m having the exact same problem and it was last night’s post. I eventually had to use wordpress dashboard which is not my favorite.

    I have not made any changes to anything. I’m about to throw my laptop out the window.

    If you find anything that worked, please let me know.

    I figured out the problem, but when I googled the solution, it’s not an easy one for me. I’m very new at this.

    When live writer tries to publish, the brackets are stripped. I figured it out in Writer by view–>source. I see the HTML brackets are there, but when it’s published, they are stripped so we are left with the code.

    I’ll try contacting bluehost and see if I can get anywhere.

    If anyone else has an idea, thanks! I don’t think this is considered to be “resolved”.

    Make sure you aren’t copying and pasting content. Copied and pasted content can contain all sorts of hidden code sometimes. If you’re trying to enter text, type it in manually and see how it goes. Maybe even do a small test with just a word or two of text.

    Oh, I’ve done a few tests of plain text and nothing. I’m trying to talk to webhost now.

    This is extrememly frustrating.

    Even a post manually typed and not copy pasted yields the same result.

    I am working out with the Live writer guys to sort of this problem. Lets see if they resolve it.

    Will update.

    I’m having exactly the same problem. Have tried on three computers and two different blogs with no luck. Anyone has any idea?

    I finally got it sorted thanks to G_crum who posted a solution on BH forums!
    I followed his instructions so I installed Libxml Fix Plugin and then modified the plugin code
    From:
    LIBXML_DOTTED_VERSION == ‘2.6.27’

    To:
    LIBXML_DOTTED_VERSION == ‘2.6.26’

    Which was my libxml version and it worked on both my single wordpress blog and wordpress mu installation. I hope it helps.
