   I have a widget called advanced recent posts. It says that I can show up to 20 posts on my sidebar. I can't get it to go above three.

   Also I have the random text widget. Does anyone know of a similar widget that will rotate every so many seconds?

   There are many, and movement of content on a web page like you are requesting is considered bad form and violates web standards - however, as stated there are many options in the WordPress Plugin Directory.

   Also, check with the Widget/Plugin author to see if this is the latest version of the Plugin and/or if they have a fix.
