I used to be able to view all posts by a specific author on my page via the ".../author/..." url (e.g. http://www.ebossnow.co.nz/author/paulh) but now it automatically redirects to the home page (http://www.ebossnow.co.nz).
Why is this? And how do I change it? Have I trialled a plugin that maybe changed some coding somewhere? Help!
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I tried testing recent plugins. What happens when I reset the plugins folder? Is there any danger of losing anything?
I noticed the problem after I'd added the User Meta plugin which didn't work and I've since deactivated and deleted. I suspect it because it's tied to user info.
It's still possible the problem had been in effect before then and I hadn't noticed.
Note: my WordPress backend knowledge is basic, but is there a template file or something that makes the ".../author..." permalink appear?

Found it: Robot Meta plugin had been added which by default disables this.
