I posted the same thing in the theme section not to long ago, but I'm not sure if I will get what I'm looking for there so I thought I'd try here...
I am wanting to put together a new front page for my website that will display new posts under different headings according to categories. Probably 3 or 4 columns, one column with a heading for graphic design and a list of say 5 recent posts, a column for photography with the 5 recent post, etc...
My knowledge of php is pretty limited, but I'm generally able to look over the code, cut and paste, and play around a bit and get what I want. I kind of have an idea of what I should be looking for and I am about to jump into that cut and paste trial and error stuff right now, but I was hoping someone more knowledgeable might be able to cut down some of this trial and error time for me.
Any tips?
