Conveniently scattered across 4 different sites.

  5. Dave, we're open to any volunteer(s) who want to consolidate all of the lists into one.

list or host the plugins ?

I have room to list them on my various blogs.

  7. Sorry about not being clear, I mean consolidate all of the lists into this one: http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins Most of us rarely have time these days to go through and cross-reference and build a check list of everything.

I'd agree with macmanx - trying to create a list of actual plugins would be a nightmare if you tried to do it 24/7. There are a surprising amount of hacks / plugins which never get anounced here.

I rarely have much free time, but I'll see what I can do.

  10. Thanks, Chuck!

Hmm. Uhm, I read the page on editing the codex. My apologies, but I don't think my eyes can handle it...

Maybe later this week when my eyes feel better. My corneas tend to dry out.

Oh, I wouldn't have mentioned I would try to do it if I felt I couldn't do it.

And you may as well call me chuckblue, as its a moniker. I use a different nomdeplumearray... :-) for each forum ,easier for me to track where I am logged in.

okay, I created an account at codex and I am looking over the help files on formatting, etc.

edit: don't worry... I'll add one and see if I made any mistakes. I'll wait for feedback before continuing.

I see its: figure out the category, then where under that, then edit and add new.

Looks to be much work, but maybe I can do something to help.

okay, I added a link to AuthImage, under Comments, under Administrative.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Comments

the link I added works, and I did a save.

Let me know if it looks okay, and I got it correct sub-cat etc.

    And I'll then continue.

edit 2: I noticed one I was going to create a link to, was already there.

  15. That looks good, CheckBlue, but AuthImage is already covered in the Anti-Spam plugins section: http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Spam_Tools

Ah, I didn't check there. I put it in what I thought was the obvious location.

Should I remove it from where I put it ?

    thanks.

  17. Don't worry about it, I'll take care of it. But good start none-the-less. Your formatting was spot-on.

thanks. I just looked at the examples already there. Well, I mean the ones placed there before I arrived there.

edit: I'll make a list of what is on the codex, see if I can make it an all-out edit thing this weekend. My eyes are bothering me again.

  19. That's ok, take it easy, don't let it become an obsession.

Well. I wasn't going to spend all night on it... I play evercrack, uh, everquest 1.

But I think my going over it all, see what is already there and compare it to a list of what is elsewhere, and add a few of them to the codex should work okay.

If I had brought my eyewash with me, I could do more tonight.

Its not a big deal, my eyes, its just hard for me to edit things when my eyes act up.

  21. I know what you mean. I've got this triple-quadruple vision thing going on right now, and the focal (migraine) point seems to be right where my computer usually is. I'm going through a lot of Excedrin.

    ouch.

But mine is due to the laser retina surgery, then the cataract surgery... seems laser eye surgery can cause cataracts. Now my eye dries out often.

Anyway, I noticed the Anti-Spam plugin page is in a different format than the others so far.

Ouch, I almost feel like there are no beneficial solutions out there when it comes to the human eye.

As for the anti-spam plugins, those were directly ripped from the Combatting Comment Spam page when we decided to cut down in size. I'd prefer to keep them in the presented format since those are our most recently viewed plugins. It's nice to have little bit more info up, including version compatibility and such.

Well... if I hadn't had the eye surgery on my retina, I would be blind in my right eye. The retina was slowly falling apart after it detached. Going from being the eye with the worst vision to the better of the two... over a period of 5 years.

Okay, I wont touch the Anti-Spam page. I figured it was that way for a reason, but figured I should ask.

    updating:

making a list of what plugins are on codex in a nice spreadheet, offline.

I'll work on getting the list compared to what is already done between the various sites listed above.

I see mention of the plugin contest... I'll just see what I can get done of the plugins that already exist, and make them into one list. Then work on updating the list on codex.

Maybe someone else will have the time to type up the plugin contest entries after its over.

    Later.

Oh, speaking of my eyes... I'm not ready to emulate anyone in 'ghost in the shell' anime...
