I just figure this out, if I type index.php before the link is placed in the url such as this http://www.topheavy.com/thnew/index.php?p=3#comments instead of the default http://www.topheavy.com/thnew/?p=3#comments. it works just fine. How to I change the site so that the links all work with the index.php in front of it
Please does anyone know how to fix this???

Aren’t you a bit impatient? It’s Friday night (at least were I am), people might have better things to do than browsing the forum…
Sometimes I wait 2-3 days for an answer to my questions.
Its just real important to me, I am sorry if I appear impatient, but it is driving me nuts not knowing the answer
I mean I can’t figure out, why the my links can’t all be setup like topheavy.com/thnew/index.php instead of this topheavy.com/thnew/ which is causing the script to not work right. No matter what I change in the admin it doesn’t work, I also can’t seem to find all the links or even how the links were created to begin with so that I could just changed the source code to point to index.php
Just add index.php before the other tags in permalinks, for example:
/index.php/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
i’l wait for my cheque in the mail 😉
Meclive’s tip is the common work around if your host doesn’t have mod_rewrite (or hasn’t figured out AllowOverrides).
You may wish to check out other trouble-shooting options at the Permalinks documentation page. (but first ask your host about mod_rewrite and AllowOverrides).
