did you install plugin that could cause the problem.
I have Akismet and Hello Dolly as plugins. At least one of them was put in recently. Should I delete them? I also have had Jetpack from the original creation of the site.
Is that only plugins try deactivate jetpack see if your site comes back Do not delete just deactivate
I deleted Hello Dolly and still have the problem. Akismet has actually never been activated.
I deactivated jetpack and tried to view one of my posts. It still comes up with a blank page. Any other suggestions?
switch theme to default twenty eleven see if theme related problem
I switched to default 1.7.2. It did not work.
I activated that default theme and now I can view the site…but it is not adjusted for the new theme (i.e. photos run over the words, etc. But it did allow me to view the post. I’ll try to use a shortlink to see it as well. If that works, I guess it was a theme problem (wonder why?).
I used the permalink in a new window and it did open the post. I don’t see a shortlink option in edit mode now. Is that a theme problem too?
what version wordpress are you using as looks like that is very old.
Am using version 3.1.4. It says 3.4.2 is available, but when I try to update I get: ” You cannot update because WordPress 3.4.2 requires PHP version 5.2.4 or higher. You are running version 4.4.9.
While your site is being updated, it will be in maintenance mode. As soon as your updates are complete, your site will return to normal.”
I don’t know how to upgrade PHP???
If you using 3.1.4 then you should have theme Twenty Eleven as default theme the on I see is very old
You cannot update because WordPress 3.4.2 requires PHP version 5.2.4 or higher. You are running version 4.4.9.
Your host needs upgrade php you can do that
Looks like theme is problem if you did not make any custom changes you can reinstall your theme.
