Hey guys: I’ve been using WP for about a year now. I’m not that great at php but am ok with html and css. I’m having a problem with a new site I’ve set up that I’ve not had in the past and can’t find anyone else that’s having the same problem. The site is:

    revealinglove.org

I’m using the free theme from woo themes The Morning After

When ever I attempt to click on any post that I create(at this point they are all fake) they are all taking me to the “about” page. I’ve tried to change the theme to see id that was it. But no changes the post links are still taking me to the “about” page. I figure that it has to be coming from wordpress so I reinstalled WP 3.0.4, but that didn’t fix it either. Any help would be SSOOOooo appreciated. If there’s any other info you may need to better help me just comment, I’ll be following.

  • I had a similar problem just a couple weeks ago. In my case, it was an open <a> tag in one of the files I had modified. You may have a similar issue, so check the files you have modified looking for open tags that point to your about page and add the </a>

Do you have anything wonky in your general url settings? If not do you have custom permalinks enabled? If so set to default.

    Finally, any plugins active?

Thanks so much for advice! That sounded like something that may make since because when I first loaded the theme the navigation at the top right wasn’t showing up and I found a forum where someone customized the ul and made it work. I did that and that fixed the nav. Only thing is since then I’ve reloaded the theme and wordpress and I figured that would have fixed anything I had changed. When you found your a-tag that was un-closed what page was it on? In your wordpress files or your theme files?

Rev. Voodoo!!! You are the man/woman! That was it! I was misunderstood on how I needed to set up the navigation and so I had the permalinks customized. When I changed them and then changed the way I had the navigation setup it fixed it all! Thank you so much!

Excellent! I’m glad that worked out for you!
