    Hi Gang,

Not sure if this is a wordpress problem, or something else. But here goes.

I manage a wordpress site: "lipmag.com". When I link to my website on facebook, the little "preview" type box on facebook comes up with an ad for a viagra website. When you click the FB link, it goes through to my website. (Screencap: http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l588/theotherlex/Screenshot2011-10-10at25441PM.png )

When I look up my website on google, I also get a result for a viagra website. (Screencap: http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l588/theotherlex/Screenshot2011-10-10at23538PM.png )

When I link to specific sub-posts on my website (articles), I do not get a link to a viagra site. The link appears normally. (Screencap: http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l588/theotherlex/Screenshot2011-10-10at25559PM.png ).

I have run a malware scan using the WP plugin "WP-MalWare", and nothing unusual came up on my wordpress site.

Has anyone else ever experienced this problem?

Yes. This is a clear indicator that your site has been hacked. It could be one of many different viruses. There are a variety of WordPress Plugins which "might" help, but I'd start with http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked

Darn it. We just got over a hack a few weeks ago! Alrighty, I'll have a look at the FAQ again and go from there. Thanks for the advice.

How did it go? I replaced all the WP core files, excluding the wp-config, Wp-includes.

After reinstalling, my main blog index page is completely blank.

The other option in the 'My Site got Hacked' page is to completely replace all the files from backup.

Im running 4.2.1 and also did a reinstall from my WP control panel. I can view individule posts, just not the main index.

Let me know what you find out.

    UPDATE: FIXED IT!

I chose to use a different theme and now my index page is back. I was using the "Lightword" theme. Now I am using the Mystique 2.5.1 by digitalnature.

it's always best to always have a backup and always update your wordpress. this reduces the vulnerablity of being hacked

    Hey Gang,

Well, looks like we were almost certainly hacked. I can no longer access our "installed plug ins" tab. Which is rendering us a bit unable to do anything at the moment.

We're probably going to have to call in a professional on this one. Does anyone know where I could look to hire someone to look into our problem?

    Thanks for the help!
