links: open in new window or tab

    Hi all,
    in a post, when you create a link such as this (taking you to my little site)
    how can you have it open up in a new tab or window, instead of as it works now in that it navigates the user away from the page?

    I realise users could choose to “open in new tab”, but id like it to do that automatically.

    Appreciate any direction.

    It’s not important what you want. It is important what the visitor wants. And visitors hate if YOU decide what happens in their browser.

    On the other hand, I hope surfers are getting smarter and smarter and set their browser as I did mine: no matter what you code, it will override it and it will open in new tabs or new windows only when I want 🙂
