Links on Pages

    hi,

    can you tell me how to create this page

    i know how to create pages, but i don’t know how to put links of a number of articles on the page without the articles themselves being posted… i’m so confused, i don’t really know how to explain it.

    i’ve created a test page, but then got completed baffled when it came to putting links of articles.

    well, actually, i know how to place the links themselves. but do i need to make separate pages of each article i want to link?

    wouldn’t making a page of each article have them in the menu bar as well?

    i’m really irritated with this one, especially cause i’m sure it’s something so simple that i haven’t gotten my head around

    please, please, enlighten me on this one

    they just created posts and linked to them from a page

    basically create a page called “Articles”

    then create as many posts as you want and link to them from the Articles page

    also, they use a custom permalink structure of
    /%postname%/

    OMG!!!! what an enlightenment!

    i’ve been wrecking my brain for almost a week trying to figure it out. the problem was i couldn’t ‘see’ it. i was trying to ‘image’ me doing the steps to get to the end position but got tangled up with the post aspect…

    … i couldn’t ‘see’ how he created posts because i’m so used to posts being in the sidebar… i completely forgot you can remove the widget from showing the posts

    LMFAO! this is one of those ‘stupid’ moments that i’ll laugh at in many, many years to come. it’s up there with me spending four hours removing a toilet seat (i just couldn’t get it off. eventually, i had to cut the screws off!)
