    Try deactivating all your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible.

    The html code on your links page looks good to me and your links work fine for me. Ipstenu said they work for him. So I don’t think this is a WordPress problem, I think its related to your browser. If you have any extensions on your browser, deactivate them, or try a different browser.

    Thank you all for your help, it was the plugin Easing Slider Lite which I use for the opening screens, once disabled all worked fine, am onto author now. Well done Volunteer Mod.
