   I am trying to add links to my websites in a page I created, but whenever I enter the link in an "a href" tag, they automatically point me to
   www.mywebsite.com/wordpress/the website I want it pointed at.com How do I get rid of the initial http://www.mywebsite.com/wordpress and have the link only point to the outside site?

   Thanks for the help!

   By ensuring that you always use a full url - eg. http://example.com/foo.php
