[resolved] Links in Sidebar--Using iNove 1.1.4 Theme (7 posts)

I am using the iNove 1.1.4 theme, and am having a problem with the link being "inheritied" (best term of which I can think) by the heading directly underneath it. This is the website, and the image link "Fundraisers" is carried over to whatever is underneath it! I have tried moving it to the north sidebar, but the headline of "Membership Forms" is then turned into a link to the Fundraisers page.

Ideally, I would like the "Fundraisers" link to stay in its current place, and add a different blog roll category underneath it.

Any help with this link problem???

If you need any other info, please ask! Thank you!!!

I can't see anything in your markup or CSS that would cause the kind of problem you describe. Can you try adding a new blogroll category beneath this widget so people can see the issue?

esmi, Thank you for the reply!!! I added the links widget below the image link. The "Links" headline is now a link to the fundraiser page!! This is my problem (pulling out hair!)...

    Thanks again!!!!

Ooo...very strange! The url on the Link header is actually being generated in the markup. Can you temporarily switch to the default theme, add the same widgets to the sidebar and see if this unwanted link is still being generated? That might confirm whether there's a bug in iNove's widget handling.

I changed to the default theme, and the "inherited" link problem still occurred with anything placed underneath the "Fundraisers" image link. I guess that means the problem is with the "Fundraisers" image link, not a quirk with the theme.

What do I do to fix this???

esmi, Thank you for the reply!!!!

Update: I tried adding a JPEG spacer underneath the "Fundraisers" image link, thinking perhaps it would "inherit" the link, and then I could place the other Links category widget underneath the JPEG spacer--the JPEG did not inherit the link, however, the Links category STILL inherited the link, even though it was not directly next to the "Fundraisers" image link! This is driving nuts!!!

Problem resolved....I hadn't closed the link code. Simple problem, easy fix in the end!

esmi, thanks again for your help!
