    Hello there,
How do i make links in posts open in a new window instead of the same page?

Targets are not XHTML Strict valid, they work if you're only using transitional.
The correct syntax is actually target="new". Using target="new" instead of target=_blank" will open a new window, but any other links pointing to "new" will open in that window as well.
It's a much better way for people using Internet Explorer. Of course, I leave out targets and leave it up to the user, I feel it gives them more control over where they're browsing.

Ha, that was me (got logged out). Those links will show you some ways to do it along with the sometimes heated debate about using external links (which hopefully will not get started up here again).

Well I cannot figure out how to start a new thread in this forum at all. None of my links are working in my blog - they show up like they are a link but when you click on them they are nothing. http://preteristsite.com/wordpress/

This only happens on the main blog page. If you actually click on an entry the links work such as

    What gives?
