Support » Plugin: Vanilla Forums » Links in Email Sent by Vanilla Forum

  • I have successfully implemented a Vanilla forum into a WordPress build. My only problem is the links in the confirmation emails sent out to newly registered users.

The forum is in /forum and WordPress is installed in my root. When a visitor receives an email asking to confirm their email or reset their password, it directs them to /forum instead of the WordPress slug /public-forum where the forum is embedded. I need to keep visitors on the embedded version of the forum, not directed to the /forum sub directory.

The redirect option in the Vanilla back-end will not suffice. It just redirects visitors to the embedded version, but it breaks the email confirmation and password reset emails link since its pointing at /forum not the slug.

I have attempted to change the links in the locale.php for the forum, but it just doesn’t want to take. There must be a global change that I can make, no?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
