    Hi Forum,

like most of us I really do *love* wordpress.

But one aspect is simply driving me nuts:
Is there no way (apart from plugins) to categorize links in a hierarchy (with a parent/child structure of link categories)*?

In the DOC (see http://codex.wordpress.org/Administration_Panels#Links_-_Putting_the_Inter_in_the_Internet) it says: “Each Link Category may be assigned to a Link Category Parent so that you may set up a hierarchy within the Category structure.”
How does it work? I couldn’t see any option like that in my backend…

Honestly, it would be very disappointing if this would only be possible via plugins.

Thanks in advance for any helpful remarks on this issue!

    * for clarification:
for example a link category structure like this:

    cars links
    – american cars links
    – german cars links
    — bmw links
    — porsche links
    – japanese cars

Unfortunately, Link Categories have no hierarchy like post Categories. The documentation has been fixed to reflect this–thanks for the heads-up.

    Thank you, Michael.

It’s sad though that this feature hasn’t been developed so far.

    cheers,

I’m curious if there are any plugins out there that do this as I’d like to see it too. I can think of many different use cases for such a feature.
