    On one of my pages I list links to other pages that are subordinate to it. Editing the page in Text view in WP, I have something that looks like the following. I entered the links through WP's automated link feature, so they've got to be correct. So why does the ordered list show up empty when the page is displayed? Thanks.

    Lyrics for Fifth Wheel: The Music

    <ol>
    	<li><a href="http://garywhite.us/lyrics/yearning-to-burn/" title="Yearning to Burn"></a></li>
    	<li><a href="http://garywhite.us/lyrics/goodbye-art-willis-2/" title="Goodbye Art Willis"></a></li>
    	<li><a href="http://garywhite.us/lyrics/steering-wheel/" title="Steering Wheel"></a></li>
    </ol>

    Here's my site: http://garywhite.us/lyrics

    The 'title=' bit only produces a tooltip - ie some text when you hover over the words. You still need to put text between the > and the </a> whatever you want it to say. Most people don't bother with "title"

    so your code should read

    Lyrics for Fifth Wheel: The Music

    <ol>
    	<li><a href="http://garywhite.us/lyrics/yearning-to-burn/" title="Yearning to Burn">Yearning to Burn</a></li>
    	<li><a href="http://garywhite.us/lyrics/goodbye-art-willis-2/">Goodbye Art Willis</a></li>
    	<li><a href="http://garywhite.us/lyrics/steering-wheel/" >Steering Wheel</a></li>
    </ol>

    I have left the "title" in the first one so that you can see what it looks like when you hover over it - up to you whether you put it for each or not !

    Not sure why WP "automated bit" didn't do it
