   Im new at this.........

   I made a link from one post to another, which I thought would be a fairly common thing to do.
   The link works, but I got an email notification that a comment had been posted. Is this how it is supposed to work?

   Is this how it is supposed to work?

   Yes. It's perfectly harmless and you can quite safely delete the comment.
