I have tried several ways using HTML and the visual tab. The links jump to the end of the page and not the content desired.

I searched the forums and the best answer I got was disable WYSIWG. Is there another solution? I prefer not to manually create everything.

If I do disable WYSIWG how will that affect previously created posts?

    Thanks for your time.

If I am hearing you correctly, is there any chance you are somehow getting something like this inserted where you do not actually want it to be?

Personally, I use the Visual Editor and do not have any problem inserting a link wherever I wish as well as for telling it whether or not to open a new tab, and those links always lead to the top of the requested page.
