Linking to old version of blog - Archive or Link? (1 post)

    Hi,

I suspect this is something that comes up from time to time. Sorry if this is a popular question; I didn't find what I needed using search.

Anyway, I'm retiring my "old" site and taking my blog in a new direction. Same url, etc., but a new focus. I could archive the old site - I know how to archive pages - but I don't think it will be in the spirit of the new site, so I just wanted to post a link that says something like, "If you're looking for posts from the old site, you can find them here."

I wanted to just put the old site in a separate directory, something like 'http://www.myblog.com/oldsite/' and post a link on the new blog, but I don't seem to be able to figure out how to do this. It seems like it should be easy, but I'm not getting it. I don't want a separate, fully functionally site. Just a place to put the posts from the old site and a way to get to them. Am I taking the wrong approach to the problem? Is there another way of handling this kind of issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
