Linking to my site (5 posts)

I have only recently started using WordPress for my blog. Up until then, I have been designing my site using a programme called 'Kompozer'. I have designed my 'About Me' page and uploaded it so it is available at /aboutme.html
I am trying to create a page for 'About Me' on my, now, homepage using WordPress, but I would like it to link to my other page rather than create a freshly new one that runs from WordPress. Is this possible? I have tried changing the permalink to the same as it should be, but this hasn't worked.

    Any ideas? Thank you!

In the wordpress menu page click on custom link and just put the full url eg. http://www.example.com/aboutme.html, that will then appear in your menu.

How about if the theme I am using (twentytwelve) does not allow you to use menus?

Twentytwelve certainly allows menus - what do you mean?

EDIT - perhaps this will help:

Sometimes it looks like your theme does not support menus until you actually click the create menu button.
