Hello everyone,
I am really hoping to find a viable solution to this. Right now, if I want to link directly to an image on my blog (example: http://brianmatiash.com/blog/wp-content/gallery/fisheye/fish-13.jpg), it is displayed on a blank white screen. This is not very visually pleasing.
Is it possible to link directly to the same image but have it displayed within the theme of my blog (http://brianmatiash.com/blog) or on a more visually pleasing page? I use NextGen Gallery and I would love to be able to leverage that somehow but I can't figure out whether it is possible.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks much,
Brian
When using the native WP gallery, you can choose whether to link to the file url (which is what you're currently doing) or the post url (which is what you want). Having not used NextGen, I don't know if you have the same options within that plugin but it might be worth looking.

Yeah, I am going to have to figure out how to find a resolution via NextGen because all of my images have been applied using that plugin. Does anyone else have any knowledge of NextGen and can apply it to my original post?
Thanks!

I do not know how to change where the nextgen images link to. I have a similar issue where I want the images in NextGen to link to an external URL as is possible with the WP single image option, which is also not possible as far as I can tell with WP Gallery.
