Same here Jeremy, no JetPack LinkedIn publishing connection, deleted, cookies cleared, re-authenticated, iterate multiple times, keeps coming back with “There was a problem creating your connection. Please go back and try again.” I went through all troubleshooting you mentioned in http://wordpress.org/support/topic/official-jetpack-support-resources-1?replies=1 too.
Read somewhere else you checked compatibility: ran that too, nothing to return, compatible.
Thanks for the help in advance.
Update (…to anyone looking into the authentication issue connecting jetpack to linkedin…)
The error-message by LinkedIn after entering credentials in authorization screen has now changed to (exact copy/paste):
“The partner did did not properly implement the authentication protocol.”
I guess Jetpack is the partner referred to, right? Is that somewhat more helpful? Thanks.
I have also been receiving this message off and on for the last month. In the beginning, I was able to finally connect. Today, not at all. I have gone through all the suggested troubleshooting tips on the JetPack support site – debugging shows no problem at all. LinkedIn is the only site I can’t connect to. I remain connected to Facebook and Twitter. I have not changed anything at all on my site – no new added plugins, same theme, etc. I’m at a loss.

Thank you WPYogi, but I must say, I’m a big confused by your post. Although the first link that you provided does indicate that a new thread should be started whenever possible, the second link, when followed, says:
Before posting a new topic, be sure to search to see if one has been started already.
This is what I have always done – check to see if a thread has already been started and post within that thread. However, it sounds like WP prefers otherwise now if someone is looking for specific help. I’d like to kindly suggest that the wording could be clarified a bit more.
Thanks.
@wpyogi thanks for that. Foolish me, I thought it was common practice and helpful to add to the thread with the same issue at hand instead of creating yet another thread (looking around in support: yes, here too…). Anyways&btw, nothing posted through anymore this morning, even with all jetpack-connections set, had to do it manually. Nonetheless, will do, other prio’s right now (happy new year in a few). Cheers to you too.
My Linkedin connection is now working again. Thank you, WordPress.
It’s funny. I was able to recreate the connection and it is working, but I keep getting the message that I need to reestablish the connection. Still a bug somewhere.
Thank you all for the reports. Other Jetpack users have reported similar issues, but we haven’t been able to reproduce the issue yet.
Could you all start by trying to reset your connection as explained here:
http://jetpack.me/support/publicize/linkedin/#reconnecting-linkedin
If that doesn’t help, could you give me more details about your LinkedIn account?
- Did you already connect the account to another Jetpack site in the past?
- Do you use the Basic version of LinkedIn, or do you pay for a Premium account?
Thanks!
Right now it appears to be working.
FYI, I have a Basic LinkedIn account and do not use Jetpack anywhere else.

The LinkedIn issue is now fixed. You should now be able to connect Publicize to your LinkedIn account without any issues.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
