Sorry for the bump, cannot Insert/Edit links Alt-A into my posts. The icons are greyed out. Tried the visual rich editor to no avail. Checked options and profiles.
Any help?
They are the ONLY ones greyed out? Other buttons are ok?
Is this with or without the VRE/WYSIWYG on — and, what happens if you disable it? (Users -> Your Profile and uncheck the bottommost option)

When VRE/WYSIWYG is enabled they are the ONLY ones greyed out.
When VRE/WYSIWYG is disabled there is a visible blue ‘link’ icon.

Still grayed out when writing, any suggestions?

Have they ever worked with your install?
Almost sounds like you’d want to re-upload the /wp-includes directory.
What browser and OS are you using?

Thanks for the reply Handy. I don’t think anyone has worked on my install and I will re-upload wp-includes directory as you suggest. Been playing again this morning but no change.
Firefox 1.5.0.5 and WIN XP
One last thing to try. If you have any Firefox extensions, disable ’em and try again.

Re-uplaoded wp-includeds – no change. Tried it in IE (rather than uninstall my extensions. No change.
For the wysiwyg animal: try to HIGHLIGHT a word – the greyness should go away. If no word is highlighted to make it a link – then there is no reason to have to buttons functional… I guess, this was the rationale behind the behaviour.

Yeah, what moshu just said. Lol, I was just in the post editor and noticed those buttons… [LightBulb]
