Support » Fixing WordPress » Link to user profile in sidebar – admin control?

  • I’m a wordpress rookie and I will appreciate any help that I can get…

I have created a membership site so that anyone who registers can login on the sidebar (Plugins – SimpleLogin with Sidebar Login).

I don’t give them any access to the wordpress backend (no dashboard).

What I want is for a user to login and after log in, in the sidebar there is a link to a specific page for that specific user that only I can update/control.

    Example:
    User logs in.
User clicks on link that says ‘My Profile’ and brings them to a page that I created for them. (I have to be able to update that page on a daily basis to dsiplay any kind of information not just profile info.)

Can anyone please help me do that? My guess is making some sort of page url with %user_id%? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tony

  • Take a look at the plugin “Peters Login Redirect”

Yikes… lots of terms on that plugin that I’m not familiar with… would you be able to explain it in basic terms or do you know of anything else?

    Thanks,

I’m toying around with “Peters Login Redirect” trying to figure it out… but the redirect isn’t working after login… could it be because SimpleLogin plugin is interfering?
