• Anyone know why I’d be getting an internal server error when using the Link This Bookmarklet on my personal blog?

I have a blog on wordpress.com and the bookmarklet works fine on that one, but on the blog on my own website, I get an unspecified error.

    Thanks
    Andrew

  • Actually the 500 error usually generates an error report in your host’s backend logs. You may want to check them to see if anything is in there.

thanks for the tip. I checked the log after generating the error again, and find these three errors:

[Sun Jan 21 10:56:05 2007] [error] [client 34.63.212.186] File does not exist: /home/XXXX/public_html/404.shtml
[Sun Jan 21 10:56:05 2007] [error] [client 34.63.212.186] File does not exist: /home/XXXX/public_html/favicon.ico
[Sun Jan 21 10:56:05 2007] [error] [client 34.63.212.186] File does not exist: /home/XXXX/public_html/500.shtml

Do these say anything useful to fixing my problem?

    Thanks
    Andrew
