I finally figured out how to made the slider with sticky posts but when you click the pictures it takes you to the post which isnt what I want. I want each image to link to a certain page on my site.
Please help, I really want to fix this problem asap but so far I can’t figure it out on my own.
It’s probably something simple that I’m missing too so I’m sorry and thanks ahead of time for the time and help.

Also, how do you take the sticky posts off the recent posts list?

Hi there, the slider images are designed to link to each post.

If you don’t like how the built-in Forever slider works you may want to use a slider plugin instead which allows the option to set a custom URL. I don’t have a specific plugin to recommend, but you can look through the ones in the repository to see if you find one that does the trick:

Recent Posts is a Core WordPress widget, and not something controlled within the theme.

Using a slider plugin instead of the one built into the theme will also prevent this from being an issue. There are also other Recent Posts plugins that allow you to define recent posts based on a category or tag, or control them in a more refined way. You can explore them here and experiment:
