Link Problems After Creating A Static Front Page (3 posts)

    Hey,

I created a static front page entitled index.php using the directions here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

So whenever someone comes to the site they see
    http://www.domain.com/index.php

and they can find the blog at http://www.domain.com/blog

Those two links (on the actual domain) work fine.

Only problem is now every other link directs straight back to the front page.

For example http://www.domain.com/category/topic goes straight to the front page.
Every single post link and page does the same thing!

Would anyone have any idea as to what may be wrong?

I realise it would help immensely if I posted the URL but am not allowed to by my client (grrr!)

    Thanks in advance

Try naming it home.php. WP looks for home.php first | Template Hierarchy

Thanks for the tip, now unfortunately it is returning a
500 internal server error. Which is just what I need before breakfast!

I've tried the page as index.htm, index.html but keep getting the error.
