    Hi,

    I have been using WP for about a week and I have a simple problem, that I tried to search, but found no answer.

    On editing a page I wish to place a link to my non-WP website. I clicked on the HTML tab on the top of my "edit page" field. I saw the blue underlined "link" button. I clicked on that button, put my link in the field.

    After updating the page I checked the page and didn't see the link, but when I moved my cursor over the link and clicked then I was send to non-WP website.

    My goal was to place a link on the page that can be seen of course. Can you explain how to fix this simple problem?

    Thank you so much, Ed

    Hi John, I reedited, now the site url is no longer visible but there is an embedded hyperlink that you cannot see, right below where the url was before, that does go to my website. Any ideas how to fix this problem?

    Hi John,
    Thanks for stimulating my thought with the CSS comment. I didn't know my CSS from my HTML. hahaha

    Since the tab was under HTML that would tell me. Duh! Anyway, I found some free HTML tutorial at
    http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_basic_link

    I was able to do my first code edit using the following:

    <html>
    <body>

    This is a link

    </body>
    </html>

    Where it says "This is a link" I edited with my own message, and now the message appears over my link.

    Your question got me thinking, so I resolved this myself. Thanks :-))
