    I can't get the links to be different colors besides stupid default blue and purple. I've been trying to alter the css file for days and nothing has had any effect...any advice?

    but basically you only need to change the pseudo-classes

    A:link
    {
    	color: #WhatEverYouWant;

    }

    or if you want to elaborate more :

    A:link
    {
    	color: #WhatEverYouWant;

    }

    A:visited
    {
    	color: #WhatEverYouWant;

    }
    A:active
    {
    	color: #WhatEverYouWant;

    }
    A:hover
    {
    	color: #WhatEverYouWant;

    }

    etc.. etc...

    Make sure you put your a:active declarations after your a:hover declarations, or the effects of the cascade will mean that you won't see whatever styling you've set on your a:active declaration (unless you activate the link without hovering the mouse over it).

    OMCthulhu! Thank you so much, it worked perfectly. I can't believe I didn't try that on my own...I suck :( I kept putting .description ahead of the links. Thanks again! <3
