Just for clarification, I’ve got three other sites with the same set up and they all work perfectly fine. So it’s only on one site. Is it possible this has anything to do with settings of the host?
I decided to make a light version of the Advanced Link button. It is available in version 1.7 of WP Edit.
It has on option to insert a nofollow link.
You may read more about it here:

But I have Tiny MCE Advanced. But if I understand your article correctly, I should be able to use this light version with Tiny MCE advanced and don’t need to install WP edit?
Or do I need to have WP edit installed too? I’m confused. Your article (WordPress TinyMCE Editor: http://learn.wpeditpro.com/wordpress-tinymce-editor/) talks about both and asks to install WP edit….. So… do I need to install TinyMCE advanced, or WP edit, or both or….?
Also, I don’t understand why it works with all my other sites, but not with this particular one. There’s no logic in there.
I’m sorry for the confusion.
Yes, it’s only in WP Edit right now… but I think Andrew might include it in TinyMCE Advanced.
I wrote the Advanced Link addon last night.. after I saw all the posts regarding people losing this functionality.
I am not affiliated with TinyMCE Advanced. We are two different plugin authors with separate products.. but they just happen to overlap on many areas of the editor.
So, I’d have to install WP edit instead…. Hmmmm. I hope Andrew will fix it in TinyMCE. I’m pretty used to that now
I’ve mentioned in a couple threads here that I will be putting the Advanced Link button on Github. If Andrew would like to add the button, he can pick it up there.
Please understand I’m not trying to ‘take’ any users of Tinymce Advanced. Andrew is my hero, and I have mad respect for him and his software.
I’m simply trying to provide a usable alternative.. that people can begin using now.
I know 🙂 I’m considering using it as an alternative for now because of the other users on this particular site. They don’t know how to code and I don’t want to take any chances with things becoming wonky because they do something wrong.
Anyway, thanks for your efforts!
