I use a non-standard location from my plugins. I've updated the code in the plugin itself (which I should NEVER have to do in this situation) but there is still a link to json-proxy.php that is getting a 404 error in my logs. How do I fix this?

You currently cannot use Zemanta with non-standard wp-content folder. Zemanta needs to have a fixed url to call for recommendations and moving it around isn't supported currently.
Since modern browsers have support for cross-domain calls, we plan to abandon json-proxy.php in the future when some old browsers go out of use.
