Link breaks in comments (3 posts)

    I, for the life of me, cannot understand why my WordPress install is ignoring linebreaks (multiple linebreaks) in user comments. I'm really hoping I'm just missing a switch somewhere but I've dug and dug through config. Basically, I want to be able to support a comment that looks something like the following.

    -----------
    This is the first paragraph of the comment.

    This is the second paragraph of the comment.
    -----------

    I'm instead winding up with:

    -----------
    This is the first paragraph of the comment.
    This is the second paragraph of the comment.
    -----------

    Can anyone provide assistance - here's a great example of how ugly comments can be sans line breaks (scroll down to the fifth comments - the earlier comments are a bit deceiving - there are line breaks present because I went into admin app and forced the breaks with standard html br syntax)....

    TIA!

    It's your theme, not WP...

    in blog.css you should have this:

    #wrapper.blog_entry div.comments div.comment_content p {
      color: #653500;
      font-size: 80%;
      line-height: 1.4em;
    margin-top: 10px;  <== added by me!
    }

    or whatever values you need!

    You are a saint. I don't know why I didn't notice that.
