    I'm fixing a design for a friend, and I've got everything under control except I can't make the content and sidebar become wide enough to match with the header size.. It seems as somehow they are connected with the header so if I make that smaller,e verything becomes smaller so it won't line up!
    Can anyone pleaseee help me?

    The site is: fashionjunkiie.com

    Put your main content div (<div id="main">) within the wrapper div (<div id="wrapper" class="hfeed">)

    Thank you, I did that but what can I change now to make it match up? Also, now the part under the content is not white

    You have moved something else, undo and make sure you move <div id="main"> (and all of its child elements) into <div id="wrapper"> (just below <div id="header">).

    Yes, did that now :) I'm so close to getting it right, its just the few extra pixels on each side that I can't seem to find where to put

    You still haven't moved the <div id="main"> into the wrapper which will solve your problem!

    The #wrapper has a width: 1069px; and padding: 0 10px;

    The #main has a width: 1069px; and padding: 40px 0 0 0;

    Change #main padding to: padding: 40px 10px 0 10px;

    BTW, it is best to make a Child Theme, and put your changes in there, because when the your theme is updated, everything you have altered will be lost.

  10. @anevins? Calmly, please. ;)

    Your posts were in the spam filter which I've now removed.

    @anevins is right (well spotted);

    probably from the removal of code in header.php, a stray </div><!-- #branding --> is left which basically breaks the div structure -

    also reflected in the validation error report: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fashionjunkiie.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

    removing the relict will indeed 'move the #main div into #wrapper' and should solve the alignment issues without the need to edit style.css
