• I wanted a solution to the “WordPress strips my extra line breaks” problem. I came to TinyMCE Advanced so see if it fixed the problem. I found the “Stop removing the <p> and
tags option in the Manage screen for the plugin. However, enabling it does nothing for editing a page/post in Visual mode. Is this a HTML view only fix?

    Ah, I see now:

Compatibility with WordPress 2.5.1 and TinyMCE 3.0.7, added option to disable the removal of P and BR tags when saving and in the HTML editor (autop), added two more buttons to the HTML editor: autop and undo, fixed the removal of non-default TinyMCE buttons.

That’s rather sad. I guess it’s back to FCKEditor, which breaks the common appearance with WordPress.

Hopefully we’ll eventually see this annoying problem fixed. I mean it’s only been what, 4 years now? Eventually someone is going to see how retarded it is.
