• Gday there wordpressers
I need some help to work out how to allow only my members to write comments…not unregistered users. Any direction or links greatly appreciated…thanks heaps!

  • From one newbie to another… read the docs. 🙂
In the Admin for WordPress, Options, Discussions, Before a Comment appears, check both boxes.
When you start being bugged by spam bots look into adding some plugins to slow them down. (Sure, we’d like to stop them, but they seem to have more resources than we do)
    Hope this helps!

Motorbelly, that will still allow anyone with a name and email address to post comments.
Itchybrain, what you want is a hack that will allow only registered user to post comments. See this: http://wordpress.org/support/10/7663

Thanks motorbelly and macmanx, as you say macmanx you have my point exactly, the system did not appear to allow it, even after reading many docs 🙂
Thanks so much for the link, i’m very appreciative!
    cheers
