   Hello,

   I would like to use the manual excerpt instead of the autocreation excerpt but would also like to force a limit of words to 55 (like a created excerpt). Any ideas?

   Thanks, but I've tried that and the plugin. It seems to work for automatic excerpt creation but not for when there is any content in the manual excerpt box.

   The problem is I need to force the manual input to be shorter.
