Limit title post excerpt

    Set up your plug in and tried to trigger a tweet by updating a post… however, between the long title on the post (one of my authors loves long post titles), the shortened URL, and the text “New Post:” the tweet ended up at more than 144 characters, and the plugin reported an error in the log tab.

    It would be great to be able to limit the title to a certain # of characters (100, maybe?) to prevent these sorts of errors.

    (oh, and as an added request… could you add {AUTHOR} as another field that can be added to the tweet? We have a multiple-author blog, and it would be great to be able to tell people who posted in the tweet)

    It’s already the case for the TITLE, if it’s longer than 110 characters it’s cut. In your case I guess you need something about 100 characters in order to go through. Unfortunately this # isn’t configurable currently so you can’t change it.

    When it comes to {AUTHOR} shortcode I can only agree that’s a good suggestion for soem of the next releases of the plugin. Thank you
