   There are plug-ins/hacks that limit the title of a post AFTER it has been posted. But is there a plug-in that actively limits the amount of characters someone can type WHILE in the control panel creating/writin/editing the post in the title field?

   As in, it limits the title before-hand so it never exceeds the limit to begin with?

   I'm interested on the same functionality. We have a website with a limited space for titles and would be very useful to count the characters in the field, Twitter alike.

   i want 50 max characters in the add new post :(
