Limit the topic contents on homepage

    hello
    i have a problem of how to limit the topic contents on homepage…for ex if i post 1000 words of contents it shows all 1000words in index page rather i want only few words to be shown on index and rest linked full post url like : yourdomian.com/full-website-development/
