• I posted about this yesterday but I didn’t make it clear in the subject heading that I was asking a question, not giving an answer… so I’m reposting it. 🙂
    My question is:
Is it possible to limit the number of entries that appear in the category pages?
i.e. If I have a category with 200 posts, can I make so only the last 5 entries show up when someone clicks on that category? Also, if I am able to do this, can I use the “next” and “back” hack links to show the rest of the posts in that category?
Any ideas/ help would be very much appreciated! Thanks for your time.

  • this would be great to know!
i wish i had an answer for you.

Does anyone have an answer for this problem? My daily blog has quite a few posts in it and if I link directly to the category it shows them all, which takes a long time to load.

Is there a quick and easy option I can change?

I need to do something like this as well. Has this been done by anyone yet?

I don’t understand the question. What version are you using – Mose and bestfoot? (You guys just resurrected a one year old thread!!)
In WP 1.5.x the number of posts you set in the admin >Options > Reading is applied to all pages, to all views: monthly archives, category, search etc.
