    Finally getting NextGen figured out (mostly). But on thing I notice: when I’m viewing a gallery on a page, and I click one of the images, it opens in a lightbox. Cool. I can then go to the next image, previous image, etc. Problem is if I keep going to next image, I get to images that aren’t even in the gallery I’m looking at. This is pretty distracting because I start seeing images that are completely unrelated. For example, maybe I have a gallery called “Nature Landscapes” and another called “City Scapes”. So if I’m on the page that shows the Nature Landscapes gallery, and I start going through the images in lightbox, I eventually start seeing pictures of downtown buildings. Not a good thing.

    Any way to make it so when I click an image and open lightbox, it only shows the images that are in the current gallery?

    Thanks!

  • I have the same issue but I’m using the widget also. The lightbox will pull ALL of the nextgen images from the page including the widgets images. I don’t know if that is what could be happening in your case, chamster.

    Thanks for that. I’m using the widget as well. That may be the problem. I don’t need the widget on gallery pages though, so I’ll disable it there and see if that solves the issue.

    Yes, I have same problem. I have multiple galleries on one page and also a widget. Each gallery has few images. What I was expecting is to see only images from that particular gallery when clicked upon, but the fancy box pulls all of them. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the way how to fix that besides using the “image browser” which is not what I want though.

    @chamster, @nppbc, and @dsputa – The issue is in the Lightbox Effect you have chosen for your displays (most likely the “Lightbox”). If you change to a different Lightbox Effect you should not see this issue.

    This is due to how that particular standard library bundled Lightbox Effect works.

    Thanks!

    I need the captions. Is there another Effect that I can use that will not produce the same issue?

    @nppbc – All of these bundled Lightbox Effects should show captions:

    * Lightbox (also includes all images on page)
    * Shutter
    * Shutter 2
    * Thickbox

    … as well as our NextGEN Pro Lightbox if you choose to get the NextGEN Pro plugin.
