   I'm trying to get lightbox working on my theme.

   I have installed the slimbox plugin (a lightbox clone) and added a thumbnail image which links to the image file on one of my pages.
   The link to the image file has rel="lightbox" in it as per the instructions of slimbox.

   However, when clicked it just goes to the image in the browser and the lightbox/slimbox effect is not seen...

   I checked my page source and the slimbox files are loaded in the header

   I have also tried with both lightbox 2 plugins in the plugin directory and they do not work. In fact, I cannot see their files being loaded in the page header...

   Please....

   I can't work out why it's not working. All the files are loaded in the header and the link has rel="lightbox" and links to a .jpg.

   It should work, but it doesn't

   If you can't get it working try one of the Fancybox plugins.

   hmmm, I'd rather stay with slimbox.

   I can see fancybox has loads of options but I'd prefer just something really simple.

   I did try fancybox however to see if it worked but it didn't either. It's really quite strange.

   I'm having the same issue with slimbox2 not working. It was installed and was working fine and stopped working at some point. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the plugin to no avail. As I was doing that I noticed the little warning on the plugin screen that it hadn't been tested for my current version of wp (v2.8.5).

   Perhaps, it is due to the fact that I did an upgrade of wordpress, but I can't be sure. If it was due to the upgrade I would have expected to see more people writing about this.

   Anybody else experiencing this?

   Okay, it's not related to the upgrade. It seems that there is a bit of a conflict between slimbox2 and my installation of the wp e-commerce. I just recently added that and it seems to have put the kaibash on slimbox. When I deactivate the wp e-commerce plugin, the slimbox functionality works. When I activate it, slimbox stops working.

   In case, you were looking at the source code from the link in my previous post, I've since removed the rel="lightbox" bits from my links.

   Is anybody else using slimbox with wp e-commerce? Did you encounter the same issues?

   I'm not using wp e-commerce but am trying to use the WPG2 plug-in to display images from my Gallery2. In new installations WP 2.9,1 I no longer can get Lightbox to work on any of the WP pages. Lightbox works in the admin because it displays the Theme selections. I have other installations of WP that have been updated to 2,9.1 and they work fine. It just seems to be the "fresh" installations.

   Do I need to reinstall an older version of Lightbox?
