Lightbox not scaling height properly on mobile.

Hello!

First off, great plugin! Keep up the good work.

I do have a small issue though. On mobile, and when my browser width is sufficiently narrow on my laptop, the lightbox scales images to browser width effectively, but the height does not. It results in elongated images in lightbox view.

Here is an example. Please try to view one of these images with a narrow browser width, or on mobile.

I can use Inspect Element to force the resize of the image, but putting the same code in CSS doesn’t do anything. A friend of mine suggested it was a javascript problem, because the image doesn’t scale as the browser width does.

Everything is up to date.

@douglasvautour – We have seen a few issues with Lightbox Effects not scaling correctly for some of the options we offer. Most of these Lightbox Effects are being generated by the “library” we have included.

A different option may work better for you with your current (mobile) theme, are you seeing this a all Lightbox Effects or only certain ones?

Hello! Thank you for your reply. I thought that might be an issue with lightbox internally.

As per your suggestion (which I am sorry I didn’t think of sooner!) I changed the setting from “lightbox” to “shutter” and now it displays beautifully on mobile! It’s actually a lot better than the original setting. So double bonus.

I’m going to mark this as resolved, but please notify the makers of this library of this issue!

@douglasvautour – Thank you! We do appreciate your follow-up response and your choice to resolve this issue as well. We are looking into the Lightbox Effects we are using and if improvements are made to those “libraries” we will make every effort to test and include those that continue to work correctly with NextGEN Gallery.
