[resolved] LighBox PlugIn Like A Brochure? (8 posts)

    Hello;

    I'm looking for a certain type of plug-in but not sure it exists. My client wants to post a scanned image of the front page of her newsletter on her blog, then when the user clicks on it, have it open with LightBox Effect - and than - she wants navigation in an obvious place that will allow the user to go forward (next) or backward (back) within the brochure.

    The closest thing I've found to this is just the regular LightBox - but the navigation is too subtle (only appears if the mouse is over the image), and in order to get all the pages to appear, there would have to be a thumbnail image of every page on the site. And she only wants the front page visible before it's clicked on.

    Is there anything out there like this? Or do I need to have her hire a JavaScript expret? ('Cause I'm not!)

    Thanks for any help!

    -Sherry

    If it helps, here's an example of what she wants. Click on "North Edition" to see what I mean - navigation and all. http://www.theclubregistry.com/currentIssueViewer.php

    This was obviously not done with a PlugIn since it's not a blog. But I'd like to know whether there is a PlugIn that will do this.

    Thanks for any help!

    you dont need a javascript developer, you just need to be able to view source, and copy and paste. those are just a series of images. I have not seen a plugin for that specific thing though, no.

    Thanks. I can view the source and copy and paste - that's how I learned how to make web pages to begin with. :) But I thought JavaScript was different than html/css/etc in that the person who wrote the script owned it or something. I guess I was afraid of "stealing" it.

    Thanks for the info.

    I can appreciate that. You might want to drop an email to whomever runs that site, and ask if its okay to borrow .. Better still, i would google around and see if perhaps they borrowed it off somewhere else. You never know.

    In fact, I googled a bit:

    http://leandrovieira.com/projects/jquery/lightbox/

    looks interesting.

    found that, off here:

    I know this has already been resolved, but just in case you come back, the plugin Lightview will do this.
